Easter Weekend What's On Guide
Hello long weekend!
Easter weekend has arrived and, whilst the weather isn't expected to be as sunny as last weekend, the forecast is mostly dry. Huzzah! Here's a run down of some activities and events happening in Cheltenham over the next four days. How many can you fit in?
On daily, Friday to Monday
Airborne Easter Sessions - At the beginning of every session over the Easter weekend there will be a special Easter egg hunt around the trampolines and ninja course with prizes ranging from chocolate to free AirTime sesssions. Find out more
Easter Egg and Nature Trail at Crickley Hill - Explore Crickley Hill with this Nature Trail and Easter Trail-in-one, with a small prize at the end. £2 a trail sheet. Find out more
The Boathouse at Pittville Park has been open since last weekend and from Saturday 15th to Monday 17th April their Boating Bonanza sees hire prices reduced to £6 for half an hour or £9 for an hour. Find out more
Easter Fun at Primrose Vale - With two trails to choose from based on age and ability. Cost £5 per participant. Find out more.
Storks - Movies for Juniors - The MFJ film from Friday 14th April is Storks (Rated U). Tickets are £2 from the box office or £2.70 if bought online. Find out more
Easter Egg Trail and Colouring - The Central Cross Cafe in Pittville Park is holding an Easter colouring competition and also has sheets for an egg trail around the park. £1 a sheet. Find out more
Good Friday 14th April
Glenfall House Easter Event - Featuring an Easter Egg Hunt, face-painting, bouncy castle and garden games, all set in the beautiful surroundings of Glenfall House and gardens. Find out more.
2p Entry - Cheltenham Lido opens for the season - When it opened in 1935 it cost 2p to visit the Lido and that's exactly what it'll cost you on their 2017 opening day. You'll find there's been a few changes since 1935 including the addition of a sauna.... Find out more.
Hands-On Science - Did you know that the Cheltenham Science Centre is now open to the public? £2 per person (under 4s free), for fun, hands-on science experiments. Open Tuesday to Saturday. Find out more
Soft Play - The LeisureAt soft play session is running as normal this Good Friday with a couple of Easter-themed activities running alongside the usual range of inflatables and play equipment. Find out more.
Saturday 15th April
Smyth's Toys Easter Egg Hunt - A free clue-based Easter Egg Hunt around Smyth's toy store from 9am - 2pm. Find out more
Hatherley Park Easter Egg Hunt - Explore Hatherley Park to find the paper eggs to exchange for real chocolate and sweet treats! 2 - 4pm, £2 entry. Find out more
Easter at The Hewlett - Children's activities include a bouncy castle, face-painting, Easter hunt and the hotly contested, Easter Bonnet competition. Find out more
Charlton Kings Egg Hunt - A free Easter Egg hunt taking place around the Charlton Kings Village with a prize for children at the end. Find out more
Hands-On Science - Another chance to head along to the new Cheltenham Science Centre for family fun trying out experiments in a safe environment. Open Tuesday to Saturday. Find out more
Easter Sunday 16th April
The Big Egg and Spoon Race - If you've had your fill of egg hunts, how about some different egg-shaped Easter fun at Pittville Park this Sunday? £1 a go, races every 10 minutes from 1pm. Find out more
Vale Point to Point Country Fair - The quintessential Cotswolds event.... A fairground, terrier racing, dog show and lots more await at the Vale Point-to-Point Easter Sunday. Entrance £10 for adults, children are free. Find out more
Easter Sunday at The Plough - Fun, fun, fun with a bouncy castle, egg & spoon race, face-painting, cake sale and the new pub play area to explore. Find out more
Eggsmouth - With a Easter hunt, arts & crafts and face painting for the kids, and 'The Exmouth's Famous Roast Dinner' for the grown ups. Find out more
Monday 17th April
Easter Crafts as the Willow Tree - Suitable for all ages, little ones can enjoy activities including egg decorating, card making, bonnet decorating, colouring and mask making. Tickets are limited and cost £5 Find out more
The Big Egg and Spoon Race - The Pittville Park event continues on Easter Monday in search of the ultimate eggy racer. Races every 10 minutes from 1pm. Find out more
