What’s On In Cheltenham This Weekend: 6th to 7th of May

After the quick succession of Easter and the May bank holiday weekend, two days just doesn’t seem enough anymore.  Make the most of any spare time together with the Cheltenham Rocks what’s on guide this weekend, featuring family things to do in Cheltenham, a few out-of-town suggestions and a couple of cheeky recommendations for the grown-ups.  Have a good one. 🙂

Saturday and Sunday

Avoid cabin fever with a preschooler on dull days by bouncing along to Airborne’s special trampolining sessions for under 5s.   Running Saturday and Sundays, 9 til 10am.  Find out more

For a special trip out, hop aboard a steam train from Cheltenham Racecourse station and visit Toddington for a few hours. Whilst there you can spend time in the play area, browse the museum or enjoy a snack at the Flag and Whistle.  But the real highlight is the journey on these special old-style steam trains.  Find out more

Music and Craft On A Vintage Bus – Julia Donaldson fans will love this unique event that brings together music, poems and crafts.  Suitable for ages 0-8 (crafts suitable for ages 2+).  Cost £4 for music and poems, £2 for crafts.  Find out more

Storytime for Toddlers takes places every Saturday at Waterstones Cheltenham.  Break up a trip to town with a quick story and cuppa.  10:30am. Find out more

St Pauls is hosting a Family Fayre this Saturday with lots of activities for adults and kids plus a chance to get your bike repaired.  Entry 50p.  Find out more

Emporer

The Emporer’s New Clothes at the Lido is a family-friendly open air theatre production with interactive parts for children to join in.  Find out more

It’s judgement day for the Lumiere Cake Off and the celebrity judging panel will be sampling all the entries to crown the winner for each of the 4 categories.  Alongside the mountain of cake will be live music, kids entertainment, face painting and a visit from Princess Elsa.  Find out more

Sunday: One for the bike lovers, Cotswold Cogfest in Minchinhampton includes races and cycle rides plus at the event village there will be food, entertainment, a bike and jumble sale, fun races and much more!  Visit the CogFest website
