Firework Displays in Cheltenham 2017

The skies are golden, the bronzed, burnished leaves have fallen and we’re delving into our wardrobes for our seasonal cosy jumpers. As the nights draw in and the curtains draw closed, we’re swapping summer nights for evenings’ in with Strictly Come Dancing.  All this must surely mean that autumn is well and truly upon us!

It won’t be long before the November night sky is twinkling and sparkling with bursting, fizzing fireworks – but where to go for the best view of the bonfire, kids displays and pig roasts? If you’re thinking of venturing out to a firework display in Cheltenham this year, look no further – we’ve sourced the best displays about town, which promise to be more than a flash in the pan!

Friday 3rd November: Firework Displays in Cheltenham:

Fairview Fireworks Party, Cheltenham Cricket Club, GL52 6BE
Friday 3rd November, entry from 5pm
£7.50 for adults, kids free
Wow, not one but TWO displays – created especially with your children in mind!  The Cheltenham Cricket Club have planned an event to rival last years’, with fairground rides and an indoor play area for the children, live music, mulled wine and local ales on tap at the bar for grown-ups!  If you’ve got young ones sensitive to loud noises, the children’s display is scheduled for 5.45pm – with not a bang or shriek to be heard! The main display follows at 7.30pm, which will be louder, bigger and brighter!  Find out more

£5 for adults, £2 for kids
Bonfire Night at Birdlip Primary School gets better each year. The ambience is set with a huge Bonfire and “Guy” made by the children. A fabulous professional firework display is given by ‘Cotswold Fireworks Company’ each year and they never disappoint with their magnificent display lighting up the sky with a great variety of fireworks. The Round Table at Cheltenham Racecourse, GL50 4SH
Saturday 4th November, 5pm – 9pm (fireworks begin at 7pm)
Adults £7, children £5, advanced family ticket £19 (includes 2 adults, 2 children under 16 – available to purchase until 3 November)
Up to 10, 000 people gather to attend this crowd-pleasing display each year, and for good reason. This is the biggest and brightest firework show in town, as hosted by Cheltenham Round Table, which proudly put on a show to suit the whole family.

There’s hearty food, warming beverages, the chance to mingle with a friends, and a dazzling firework display to rival any D-I-Y home attempt!  See your little ones’ eyes light up when meeting their favourite Paw Patrol characters, Marshall and Skye, before fun and games on the fairground rides and a chance to dance with the Samba drummers! A family friendly event, the firework display at St Edward’s School is worth a watch, especially if you don’t fancy fighting the crowds to get a good view of the action.  The school’s annual show offers something for everyone to enjoy, with a funfair, magic shows and an impressive display to wow the crowds, who continue to return every year in growing numbers.  What’s more, the school is in walking distance of local Charlton Kings eateries and pubs, offering the perfect opportunity to warm the cockles post-show.  Find out more

Burley Fields Bonfire and Fireworks, GL51 4XT
Saturday 11th November
With an early show for kids, small fun fair, pig roast, bar and disco, the Burley Fields Firework Display is a packed evening of entertainment.  Tickets £7 on the day or £5 in advance from Burley Fields Farm Shop, Sidal’s Cafe Warden Hill or Bargain Booze on the Bath Road.  Find out more
