Cheltenham Pubs With Play Areas

There’s nothing quite like a leisurely pub lunch outdoors and we’re fortunate to have a few pubs in and around Cheltenham that have both large gardens and play equipment for the kids to burn off a bit off energy.

The House in the Tree, Cheltenham GL51 0TQ
There’s a lot for little ones to do at The House in the Tree including a play area and petting zoo with goats, chickens and even a pig.  Booking is advisable.  More details here

The Apple Tree, Woodmancote, GL52 9QG

The Plough in Prestbury, Cheltenham GL52 3BG
The play area at the Plough was opened early in 2017 and features a large wooden frame with slide.  The Plough regularly hold events for families with the next one taking place in August.   More details coming soon…

Hungry Horse, Seven Springs, GL53 9NG
The Hungry Horse at Severn Springs is home of the Big Plate Special, some great deals and enormous desserts.  Outside there are picnic tables, a duck pond plus a play area with a climbing frame and slide. For more details and a sample menu visit the Hungry Horse website.

London Inn, Charlton Kings, GL52 6HU
In the garden of the London Inn you’ll find a slide and two junior swings.  There are regular events, quizzes and live music. For details follow the London Inn Facebook page.

The Air Balloon, Birdlip, GL4 8JY
The Air Balloon is an Old English Inn pub very close to Crickley Hill and in a good spot for meeting up with people from Gloucester and/or Cirencester.  There is an outside seating area with a climbing tower, bridge, slide and 2 junior swings.  Visit the website
