3rd – 4th June: What’s On in Cheltenham This Weekend

This one’s for the foodies… We seem to be enjoying a flurry of food-related events at the moment and this weekend there are a couple of major highlights if you’re in to trying new tucker.

But it’s not just about the nosh, there’s a few fun days and mini festivals to keep busy little bees amused.

 

Saturday and Sunday

The Exmouth on Bath Road are holding their annual festival ExFest with live music and the pizza oven running all weekend and a special family afternoon on Sunday with face painting, hands on science experiements and a dog show.

The BFG and the LEGO Batman Movie are the discounted showings are Cineworld this weekend.  Find out more

The Eats from the Streets Festival rolls into Gallagher Retail Park for Saturday and Sunday.  Head along to enjoy Nawty Nachos and a ‘Cakeshake’ which looks as amazing as it sounds.  Eat your treats from the streets on a converted double decker bus!  Find out more

Cheltenham’s branch of Cross Eyes is holding a family fun day.  Drop into their store for face painting, competitions and a treasure hunt.  Find out more

Lou Lous Vintage Fair is back at Cheltenham Town Hall with over 40 stalls of vintage fashion, homeware and collectables.  Entry £2.50, under 12s free.  Find out more

The Holst Musuem is holding a special ‘Bake Back in Time’ event this Saturday included with normal admission.  Find out more

Sunday

The Willow Tree Cafe still has some spaces available on their Children’s Craft Morning with craft activities suitable for ages 2 and above.  Find out more

The Leonard Cheshire Home in Leckhampton is holing a Dog Show and Summer Fete with stalls, a tombola, a raffle and lots more fun besides.  Find out more

Skaters Club takes place once again at Leisure At Cheltenham this Sunday.  Skate hire available plus the chance to pre-request a song from the DJ!  Find out more

 

For the Grown Ups

Cheltenham’s first Chilli Fiesta takes place in Cambray Place on Saturday.  Pop down for samples, shopping and the Clash of the Titans chilli eating contest (over 18s only), enter on the day if you dare!  Find out more

Make it a Saturday afternoon to (try to) remember on a MicroBrewery Tour, departing by minibus from Cheltenham and touring 3 local breweries.  4 places left.  More information and booking here

The Pop Art in Print exhibition at The Wilson ends on Sunday having been in on show at the museum since March.  The work of over 30 artists is featured in the exhibition including pieces by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Peter Blake.  Entry £6.  Visit the Cheltenham Museum website

 

Out Of Town Highlights

Hartpury Summer Fair is a fantastic free event with tractor rides, shows, games, activities, stalls, crafts and lots of local food and drink.  Saturday 12 – 4pm.  More details on the Hartpury website

The water fountains are on at Abbey Park in Evesham.  With a huge play area, boat rides, picnic benches and water play area this is a fab free day out.  Find out more
