23rd – 24th September: What’s On in Cheltenham This Weekend

The weekend is here, and if you’ve got some time on your hands with the family, we’ve got some suggestions of things to do in and around Cheltenham.

The weather is set to be mostly dry and sunny in places, which has inspired a little section first of all about things to make the most of before they disappear for the winter…

Primrose Vale: According to yesterday’s picking update there’s lots of raspberries available, plus strawberries and blackberries.  The berries are handing over the PYO-baton to the autumn crop and already you can pick apples, runner beans and sweetcorn too.  Find out more

Cheltenham Lido: The Lido closes for the winter on Sunday 15th October, ending with the mega-popular dog swim.  There’s just a few weeks left to enjoy a swim in Cheltenham’s heated outdoor pool and – to take the edge off – there’s a sauna there until the end of the season.  Find out more

Boat Hire at Pittville Lake: Boats will be running from the Boathouse everyday until the end of October, explore the beautiful lower lake of Pittville Park, hire prices from £7.  Find out more
