1st – 2nd July: What’s On In Cheltenham This Weekend

Happy Friday everyone!   Cheltenham is going a little fete-crazy at the moment (no bad thing) and there are some more fun days lined up for this weekend to keep you in candy floss and tombola-prizes for the next week or so.

Saturday

Have you got a broken bike, scooter or toys destined for the tip?  Take them along to the Regeneration Repair Cafe today from 10 – 1:30 and see if you can give them a second chance.  Find out more

This Saturday at the Cheltenham Science Centre, visitors will be building structures out of cardboard.  Head along between 10:30 and 11:30 to decide whether to build a space rocket, a castle or an aeroplane and start the design.  Find out more

There’s a Pimms tent, stalls, beat the goalie and loads more fun at the Grangefield School Summer Fair in Bishops Cleeve.  Find out more

The Midsummer Fiesta takes place in Montpellier Gardens from 12pm with live music, a fairground and children’s area.  Make sure you’re near the Bandstand around 2pm for a special surprise.  Find out more

Cheltenham Animal Shelter is holding its annual open day with lots of stalls, entertainment and a dog show.  Find out more

Sunday

Cheltenham’s Harley Davidson showroom is hosting an open house this Sunday and invite you along for a day of live music, entertainment, a BBQ and lots and lots of Harleys!  Find out more

The Plough in Presbury is having a real ale festival this weekend with a BBQ and live music and on Sunday there will be a bouncy castle for little ones too.  Find out more

 

Saturday and Sunday    🌧indoor ideas 🌧

The Jet Age Musuem is free entry and open Saturdays and Sundays, 10am – 4pm.  There’s a treasure hunt and chance to climb aboard a real Vulcan bomber.  Find out more

Family Fun Swim Sessions run every weekend at Leisure At, with the main and teaching pool filled with big floats, small floatable boats (for toddlers) and other pool toys. 1 til 3pm.  Find out more

Cineworld Cheltenham have two discounted Movies for Juniors this weekend: The Smurfs and The Boss Baby.  Find out more

Airborne Cheltenham is running tramplining sessions for under 5s from 9 til 10am  (£6 per parent and child), then from 10am its Air Time.  Head along and blow off some steam for £10 per person.  Find out more

 

For the Grown Ups

Friday night from 5pm Battledown Brewery and Sibling Distilery are holding an open night with Brewery Tap beers, Gin Bar, Live Music and Wood-Fired Pizzas. £3 for a G&T.  £3 for a pint.  Nuff said. Visit the Facebook event page

You can now go bottomless at The Fire Station on Saturdays AND Sundays.  For £30 you can have two courses of Sunday brunch accompanied by unlimited Prosecco and Bloody Marys or £35 for a Sunday roast.  Sundays just got dangerous.  Visit The Fire Station website

 

Out Of Town Highlights

Peppa Pig and George Pig are special guests at Cattle Country this weekend and will be appearing at intervals throughout the day.  Visit the Cattle Country website

The Cotswold Show is running all weekend at Cirencester Park. Shopping, food, dog show, falconry, music and an entertainment arena.  Adults £15, kids £7, under 3s go free.  Visit the Cotswold Show website
